The Role

A fantastic opportunity to join Venn Digital as a Software Engineer!

Venn is experiencing a rapid growth phase as we enter the second half of 2023 and this is set to continue through into 2024. Central to our growth is technology, and our engineering team are hiring for a number of software engineers to help to evolve our industry leading SaaS platform.

We are looking for developers with full stack experience in Microsoft .NET technologies. Initially reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for designing and building solutions to enhance our platform and products for our customers. We work in a collaborative environment where everyone is encouraged to contribute and has a voice.

You will work with product management to help define the requirements and scope of your work and will be flexible and creative in your thinking and approach. We expect well written code that follows best practice principles, and work in a defined SDLC.

Your Responsibilities

  • Follow best practice software engineering guidelines and ensure code is testable, robust and scalable.
  • Own the delivery of software through to production environments and ensure all requirements are met.
  • Understand the full development and deployment lifecycle as that relates to the company’s Platform and Products.
  • Create sufficient automated testing and documentation to ensure it is clear that software is working and that there is a shared understanding of the expectations.
  • Be involved in the maintenance and support of existing Products and code bases as required.

Requirements

  • Experience with .NET, C#, SQL and Microsoft Azure
  • Understand the benefits and reason for unit testing, regression testing and automated testing.
  • Be comfortable with CI/CD/DevOps processes in an agile environment, with hands on experience.
  • Can work in a team and express ideas and opinions in a collaborative environment.
  • Understands architectural principles and how they apply to problems.
  • Ideally has worked with SaaS platforms.
  • Ideally has designed and developed third-party API integrations or worked with large-scale data sets and search technologies.
  • Ideally have worked with a modern Javascript framework such as ReactJS or VueJS.
